| Exhibit The Science of Aliens Through November 10, 2007 Embark on a journey through the real science of alien life and into the furthest reaches of your imagination. The Science of Aliens blends our eternal fascination with life on other planets with the work of leading scientists who use their latest discoveries to explore the very real possibilities for alien life. Cutting-edge hands-on displays give visitors the chance to interact with these scientifically-based creatures through four themed zones: Alien Fiction, Alien Science, Alien Worlds and Alien Communication. Explore what alien life forms may look like, get close to some of the scariest aliens from sci-fi pop culture, examine strange but real species from Earth that live in extreme conditions, and create your own personalized message to an alien civilization.  Large-format Film Aliens of the Deep 3D Available Fall, 2007 Join Academy Award-winning director James Cameron and a team of young marine biologists and NASA researchers to explore the potential relationship between life under water and the life we may one day find in outer space. Inspired by concepts from the field of astrobiology—the study of life on other worlds— Cameron examines the idea that the bizarre creatures living in extreme environments on the ocean floor might provide a blueprint for what life is like elsewhere in the universe. Get up close and personal with some of the strangest animals on earth—six-foot-tall worms with blood-red plumes, blind white crabs, and an astonishing biomass of white shrimp—all competing to find just the right location in the flow of near-boiling water.
