Big Science Theatre
Big Science Theatre, Whitaker Center’s in-house troupe of professional actors, employs innovative, interpretive teaching techniques to educate visitors about science and technology. Big Science Theatre’s high-energy programs exemplify the intersection of science and the arts and invite students to actively learn through entertaining, educational presentations by professional performers using theatrical sets, props and lights.

Programs average 15 to 20 minutes in length and take place in Harsco Science Center. Shows are free with paid admission to Harsco Science Center; however, seating is limited.

Turtle Hurdles and Rabbit Habits

Welcome to the 20-year reunion of Habitat High. Still smarting from their last race, Hare has challenged Tortoise once again, but has Hare learned his lesson or are his habits too ingrained? Will Tortoise be able to compete in an even longer race? Audience members will help Tortoise and Hare train for their marathon and for healthier lives. Made possible in part by Highmark Blue Shield.
