KidsPlace and Animalopolis review

I recently had the opportunity to check out KidsPlace and the IMAX movie Animalopolis─ two features here at Whitaker Center.

KidsPlace is on the Arcade level of the Science Center and is designed for children ages 5 and under. The interactive gallery for little ones, offers a variety of fun exhibits and activities, including Midtown Market, a kid-sized version of Harrisburg’s Broad Street market, Waterworks, and Storybook Stage.

During my visit, I was able to speak with several parents and get their feedback on KidsPlace. “[Waterworks] is a huge hit,” said Pam. Another parent, Daniel, commented that there are a variety of fun activities offered.

Daniel and his daughter also recently saw a musical production at Whitaker Center, which made him want to return with his daughter and visit KidsPlace. Overall I noticed WaterWorks was one of the most popular spots with the younger guests, and all of the parents had a great KidsPlace experience.

Animalopolis invites viewers to take part in the journey into the minds of animals when people aren’t watching, such as operatic lions and bears that run their own fishing school. This funny and light-hearted IMAX movie is great for children and their families. The film is not rated, but is suitable for all audiences and it runs for approximately 32 minutes.

Beginning now through November 25, families can take advantage of Fall Family Fun combo admission. For only $10, families can visit KidsPlace AND view Animalopolis! I highly recommend taking the time to experience both. Click here for details.

See you soon,
