Disney's Alice in Wonderland
Through March 25, 2010
The highly-anticipated cinematic experience in thrilling IMAX® 3D at Whitaker Center, takes audiences down the rabbit hole and into an outrageous world, with a star-studded cast of incredible characters, excitement and adventure.
Walt Disney Pictures and visionary director Tim Burton, puts a magical and imaginative twist on some of the most beloved stories of all time. Johnny Depp stars as the Mad Hatter and Mia Wasikowska as 19-year-old Alice, who returns to the whimsical world she first encountered as a young girl, reuniting with her childhood friends: the White Rabbit, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, the Dormouse, the Caterpillar, the Cheshire Cat and of course, the Mad Hatter.
Alice in Wonderland: An IMAX 3D Experience features Alice in shock and confusion after spotting the White Rabbit, while running into a maze to follow him ─ only to later tumble down a rabbit hole into Underland (more commonly referred to as "Wonderland" by its inhabitants). Wonderland is a place she visited ten years before, yet doesn't remember, however the civilians of the magical world remember Alice and have clearly missed her dearly.
In Wonderland, Alice reunites with the Mad Hatter who explains that her help is needed in over-throwing the Red Queen (Helena Bonham Carter), who has taken control of all Wonderland from her sister, the White Queen (Anne Hathaway). Alice then embarks — assuming both large and small sizes — on an adventure of self discovery and to save Wonderland and her Wonderland friends from both the Jabberwock and the Red Queen's reign of terror.
Alice in Wonderland has been digitally re-mastered into the unparalleled image and sounds quality of The IMAX Experience®. With crystal clear images, laser aligned digital sound and maximized filed of view, IMAX puts you IN the movie. This film is MPAA rated PG for fantasy action/violence involving scary images and situations, and for a smoking caterpillar. Please note special pricing applies for Hollywood movies.
